AI Full-Stack Developer, Internship (Hire Track)

Mumbai, HybridIntern

What Sphere does

We build automation for companies that still run on spreadsheets, WhatsApp threads, and an ERP nobody enjoys using. Workflow automation, AI agent systems, and ERP integrations for small and mid-sized businesses across manufacturing, retail, D2C and services.

We're a small team. That's the point: you'll hear about a client's problem on Monday and see something you built running inside their business by Friday.

What you'd actually do

You'll start inside Sphere rather than in front of clients. Internal tooling, lead generation pipelines, and the automations that run our own business, all built under guidance.

Week one, realistically: an n8n pipeline that pulls prospect data from a few sources, enriches it, scores it, and drops a clean shortlist somewhere the team already works. Then you find out it breaks on half the inputs, and you fix that too.

Client-facing work during the internship is mostly maintenance. Keeping deployed systems running, and learning how they actually work end to end.

At full-time, the scope opens up. You'll write full backends and own client work directly.

What we're looking for

  • You code with AI assistance and can tell when the output is wrong
  • You're fast. A working first draft beats a perfect one that lands next week
  • You're curious about industries that aren't tech, and how businesses actually run
  • You want to be client-facing eventually, even if you're not ready for it today

Nice to have

  • Hands-on with n8n, Make, or Zapier
  • Things you've actually built and shipped. Side projects, freelance work, anything with real users
  • Any exposure to ERPs, accounting systems, or business operations

Who this isn't for

  • Someone who wants a well-defined ticket queue and clear specs
  • Someone who wants to train models and publish papers. This is applied engineering
  • Someone who'd rather not talk to clients, ever

How we hire

  1. Apply. The form takes ten minutes.
  2. A short open-ended project. A few hours. Deliberately under-specified, because we want to see how you scope something, not whether you can follow instructions.
  3. Two conversations. 15 to 60 minutes each, online or at our office. You'll walk through what you built and we'll talk about how you think.
  4. Offer.

Terms

Six months, with the full-time offer reviewed at month three. This is a hire-track internship, not a temporary role.

Mumbai hybrid is the preference. Fully remote is open for candidates who are clearly exceptional.

Final-year students and recent graduates are welcome. One to two years of experience is a plus, not a requirement.
